As they enter their 10th year in the industry, global K-pop phenomenon TWICE is embracing a new era with their fourth full-length album, This Is For. The record not only marks a major milestone but also kicks off a bold chapter of experimentation and unity, both in sound and spirit.

Led by the empowering single ‘Four,’ the album symbolises strength through togetherness, something the members emphasised by donning matching blue outfits in teasers and presenting themselves as a single, unified figure. “We wanted the nine of us to be one person, to feel powerful,” leader Jihyo explained.

Since their debut in 2015, TWICE has racked up historic accolades: headlining stadiums, topping Billboard charts, and becoming the first K-pop girl group to receive the Billboard Women in Music Award. They’re also set to headline Lollapalooza this August, another first.

Their new album showcases a range of genres, from the EDM-inspired ‘Right Hand Girl’ to the old-school hip-hop vibe of ‘Peach Gelato.’ Jeongyeon described it as the hardest she’s recorded due to its vocal demands, but one that she feels proud to have completed.

Beyond group tracks, members experimented with new units and sounds, and solo endeavours are growing. Chaeyoung is set to release her debut solo album by year’s end, while members also contributed to the hit Kpop Demon Hunters soundtrack, now a global sensation.

TWICE’s This Is For World Tour Part 1 kicks off July 19 in Incheon, featuring a unique 360-degree stage experience. “We could have chosen the easy path,” Nayeon said, “but we wanted a challenge.”

Reflecting on a decade of success, the group remains focused on growth, health, and staying grounded. “Even mountains change in ten years,” Jihyo quoted. “We’ve changed even more.”
