With less than a month until its theatrical release, Marvel Studios has unveiled an extended “Sunday Dinner” clip from The Fantastic Four: First Steps, offering a glimpse into one of the film’s most emotional moments. The scene, features Reed Richards and Sue Storm, played by Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby, arriving late to a weekly family dinner with exciting personal news.

The clip sees the couple greeted by Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn). After some classic sibling-style banter, the tone shifts as the group congratulates Reed and Sue on the announcement of their upcoming child.

While the clip focuses on a tender family moment, the larger story takes a cosmic turn. Set in a retro-futuristic, 1960s-inspired world, The Fantastic Four: First Steps reintroduces Marvel’s First Family as they confront a planet-sized threat: Galactus (Ralph Ineson), a cosmic being intent on devouring Earth. His enigmatic Herald, the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner), adds complexity to the team’s mission, which quickly becomes personal.

Directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision), the film features a screenplay by Josh Friedman, Eric Pearson, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. The ensemble cast also includes Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, Sarah Niles, and Mark Gatiss.

Early box office projections estimate a strong domestic debut between $125 million and $155 million—an encouraging sign for Marvel Studios as it recalibrates the MCU ahead of 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday.

With the global press tour set to begin shortly, more promotional content is expected, though Marvel is likely to keep major spoilers under wraps.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters on July 25, 2025. Fans can now watch the full “Sunday Dinner” clip online.
