Jake Paul is threatening legal action against Piers Morgan following claims the YouTuber-turned-boxer's latest fight was “staged.” The conflict erupted after Paul secured a points victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in Anaheim, California, on June 29.

Despite extending his record to 12-1, boos echoed through the arena, and criticism quickly followed. British TV host Piers Morgan branded the match an “unwatchable farce” and suggested Paul was “killing boxing” by fighting older opponents.

Just days earlier, Paul had stormed off Morgan’s show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, calling the host a “fat a**” during a fiery exchange. After the match, Morgan tweeted, “I had a better fight with Jake Paul on Thursday than the unwatchable farce that took place tonight.”

Paul responded on X (formerly Twitter), saying he has instructed his team to “vigorously go after anyone who makes up lies” about his boxing career. “Expect to get served, you pigs,” he added.

Nakisa Bidarian, Paul’s business partner, defended the fight, stating it was a fully sanctioned 10-round cruiserweight bout overseen by the California State Athletic Commission. He called Morgan’s accusations “baseless and irresponsible,” emphasizing the match’s legitimacy.

Bidarian noted that defamatory remarks not only harm Paul’s reputation but also the integrity of the sport and its regulatory bodies. He confirmed they are considering legal action against Morgan and others spreading false claims.
