RAWALPINDI:

The Anti-Terrorism Special Court has once again adjourned hearings in the May 9 riots cases, including the high-profile General Headquarters (GHQ) attack case, now rescheduled for June 26.

No proceedings were held on Saturday as Judge Amjad Ali Shah was on leave. The GHQ attack case trial has remained pending for over a month.

A meeting of Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judges from across Punjab was convened on Friday under the supervision of Monitoring Judge Justice Shahbaz Rizvi.

During the meeting, the ATC judges submitted progress reports on all ongoing cases, including those related to the May 9 riots.

Justice Rizvi directed the courts to expedite the hearings of all pending cases. Despite the directive, the hearings of the GHQ attack and several other related cases were adjourned again on Saturday.
