RAWALPINDI:

A man opened fire inside a woman's house in Amarpura, within the jurisdiction of Waris Khan police station, after she refused his marriage proposal.

The incident left the woman's brother and one of the attacker's accomplices injured. Police have arrested the suspects.

According to Farah Naz, her engagement with Ibrahim Khan was called off two years ago after she discovered his drug addiction.

She claimed he had been harassing her since then. A day earlier, he fired shots in the street, prompting her to file a complaint with the police, who summoned him.

In an attempt to avoid legal action, Ibrahim Khan, along with Akbar Khan, Rizwan Khan, and Zeeshan Khan, allegedly entered her house and pressured her to reconcile.

Upon refusal, they opened fire, injuring her brother Imran in the foot and accidentally hitting their own accomplice Zeeshan. Other bullets struck windows and walls.

The suspects fled the scene, leaving behind the injured Zeeshan. Both Imran and Zeeshan were taken to hospital. Police later arrested the suspects and registered a case.
