Anyone who has dedicated 2025 to having a mental reset will find a kindred spirit in singer Taha G, who earlier this week took to Instagram to do some soul searching as he penned raw reflections on resilience and growth in the face of adversity.
"Half the year is already gone damn, bumpier than I thought it would be," confessed the High On You singer. Laying his own vulnerabilities bare for his followers to mull over, he continued, "From being broke to questioning if I'm even good enough as an artist, to feeling completely lost and broken mentally, I've gone through more phases than I can count."
Taha's post comes amid the backdrop of a difficult year, with the musician having been forced to cancel a concert in Karachi in May due to "unforeseen logistical issues", for which he had profusely apologised to his followers on Instagram at the time.
The artist reminded his followers that when it comes to social media, what you see online rarely depicts reality. "Truth is, what you see on here isn't always the full picture," he added. "Behind the posts are real struggles, real doubts and real pain."
However, much like a phoenix is reborn from the ashes, Taha's overall message was one of hope, despite the struggles he has had to overcome in the wake of recent setbacks.
"I'm still here," he reminded his followers. Reinforcing his commitment to his career, the singer noted, "The second half of this year is personal and I [have got to] lock in. I'm choosing to shift my mentality, rebuild my confidence and focus on my comeback. I assure you it's coming, because I can change my life and this G will."
Rounding off on a positive note with a glass-half-full attitude, Taha ended his post with a high-five emoji as he concluded, "Time for growth, healing and rising again."
