KARACHI:

Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that the alliance between the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has become evident, as both parties that once contested elections against each other now stand united on the assembly floor.

Speaking to the media at the Sindh Assembly's media corner, Memon remarked that this alliance might send a new political message, but it holds no consequence for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). "The MQM's politics is well known - it has consistently avoided local government elections due to its lack of public support," he said.

Memon asserted that the people of Sindh have always given their mandate to the PPP. He claimed that the PPP had eradicated the politics of violence, body bags, extortion, and forced animal hide collections from Karachi. Commenting on MQM's recent conduct in the provincial assembly, he said it stemmed from a sense of political irrelevance.

Referring to the opposition's walkout, Memon stated, "The drama staged under the pretext of condemning the attack on Iran has been exposed. The Chief Minister began his speech by strongly condemning the cowardly attack on Iran, yet the opposition still chose to play politics."
