The victim, believed to be Finny's partner, was also killed in the incident. Police later confirmed that the shooting stemmed from a long-standing feud between Finny and another content creator, Sin City Manny (Manuel Ruiz). The two had previously clashed over social media, which escalated into the fatal confrontation.
The harrowing footage captured by a bystander shows Finny's partner screaming before the camera is thrown to the ground, while shots are heard in the background. Authorities confirmed that Ruiz, 41, turned himself in hours later, with police stating that the shooting was related to prior online conflicts between the two men.
Derek Ware, a friend of Finny, paid tribute to the YouTuber, highlighting his positive qualities as a father and grandfather. Ware also described how the feud had begun in 2023, after an incident where Ruiz allegedly pepper-sprayed Finny's wife, Bubbly. While the conflict began with online arguments, Ware expressed disbelief that it would escalate into violence.
