Sydney Sweeney is taking fan engagement to a whole new level with her latest product launch: a limited-edition soap made using her actual bath water.
The Euphoria and Anyone But You star partnered with men’s personal care brand Dr. Squatch to create “Bathwater Bliss,” a soap infused with exfoliating sand, pine bark extract, and yes, some of Sweeney’s real bath water.
The soap will be available in limited quantities starting June 6, with only 5,000 bars produced.
“When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it or turn it into a bar of Dr. Squatch soap,” Sweeney said in a press release, referencing the viral trend of celebrity bath water sales.
The idea came after fans expressed a strange fascination with her bathwater, a nod to the intense and sometimes unusual adoration celebrities face in the social media age.
To drum up excitement, Dr. Squatch is running a giveaway from May 29 to June 5. Followers of their Instagram can enter by liking and commenting on the giveaway post, with 100 winners receiving a free bar of the exclusive soap.
Social media users had a field-day, with the news leading to a number of reactions, memes, and debates on X (formerly Twitter).
