The official trailer for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man has been released, confirming the long-awaited return of Tommy Shelby to Birmingham.

The feature film continues the story of the hit crime drama Peaky Blinders and marks a new chapter for the franchise.

Set during World War II, the film follows Shelby as he returns to a bombed-out Birmingham after previously faking his death in the series’ sixth season. According to the official synopsis, the gangster-turned-war operative becomes involved in covert missions inspired by real historical events, confronting both new enemies and unresolved elements of his past. The storyline raises the stakes beyond the streets of Birmingham, placing Shelby amid national and wartime tensions.

Cillian Murphy reprises his role as Tommy Shelby, leading a cast that includes Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle, and Barry Keoghan. The film is directed by Tom Harper and written by series creator Steven Knight, who also serves as a producer alongside Murphy and other longtime collaborators.

The release strategy includes a limited theatrical debut on March 6, followed by a global streaming premiere on Netflix on March 20. The film not only revives one of television’s most acclaimed crime sagas but also sets the stage for two additional sequel seasons currently in development.

With wartime intrigue, political tension, and the return of one of modern television’s most iconic antiheroes, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is positioned as one of 2026’s most anticipated releases.
