ISLAMABAD:

Master Motors wants tariff protection in the upcoming budget 2025-26 in order to attract more investment.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, Haroon Akhtar Khan, held a meeting with the CEO of Master Motors to discuss tariff policies, production of automotive parts, and vehicle exports.

Expressing satisfaction over the impressive capacity of local manufacturers like Master Motors, Khan emphasised the importance of encouraging domestic manufacturers to foster the growth of Pakistan's automotive industry. "Our prime minister envisions making Pakistan's automotive sector competitive both regionally and globally," said the SAPM. He further stressed the need to ensure passenger safety and comfort in the manufacturing of buses.

Highlighting ongoing efforts, Khan stated, "We are introducing policies to bring Pakistan's automotive industry up to global standards."
