Google has introduced a new premium subscription service called Google AI Ultra, offering users exclusive access to its most advanced artificial intelligence tools and capabilities.
Priced at $249.99 per month, the service was unveiled during the company’s annual developer conference, Google IO, and is available starting this week in the United States, with international rollout expected in the coming months.
Google AI Ultra is aimed at professionals, developers and creatives who require cutting-edge technology for research, content creation and high-performance computing.
The plan includes Google’s most capable AI models, including access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro “DeepThink” mode designed for advanced reasoning and deep research applications.

Subscribers will also be able to use Flow, Google’s AI-powered filmmaking tool, which enables the creation of cinematic video content using intuitive prompts.
Flow comes with features like 1080p video generation, advanced camera controls and early access to the newly announced Veo 3 video generation model.
Another major feature included in the AI Ultra plan is NotebookLM, a tool that converts notes into podcasts and helps users organise information.
The plan also gives access to Project Mariner, an experimental agentic research prototype capable of managing up to 10 tasks at once, from online research to booking and purchasing.
Integration with everyday Google services is also enhanced in this plan.
Subscribers can use Gemini AI directly in Gmail, Docs, Vids and Chrome, with Chrome gaining early access capabilities starting this week.
Additionally, AI Ultra users receive a personal YouTube Premium membership and a substantial 30 terabytes of storage across Google Drive, Gmail and Photos.
Google says this plan is intended for users seeking maximum performance and early access to new experimental features.
As part of the launch offer, new subscribers will receive 50% off the first three months.
The introduction of AI Ultra comes as tech companies increasingly look to monetise AI technology.
Google’s move follows OpenAI’s launch of a $200-per-month ChatGPT Pro plan and reflects the intensifying competition to offer premium AI tools to enterprise and professional users.
Google is also upgrading its existing AI Pro plan—formerly Google One AI Premium—at no extra cost to include Flow access and Gemini in Chrome.
Additionally, the company is expanding free AI Pro access to university students in the US, UK, Japan, Brazil and Indonesia.
The launch of AI Ultra underscores Google’s strategy to remain competitive in the high-end AI services market while expanding its non-advertising revenue streams.
