Ghotki police managed to rescue two hostages with the help of Ubauro police after a long gun battle on Saturday night.
They had gone to save Aneel Kumar and Sagar Kumar, to the katcha area of the limits of Dad Leghari police station in Daharki. Both were residents of Kandhra, near Sukkur, and had been held hostage for the past ten days. One of the kidnappers, Ghazi, died during the firing exchange. But they were forced into a defensive position after more aides of the bandits came and surrounded them. The Ghotki police managed to issue and SOS signal and Ubauro police responded to it. With their help the police were able to leave the area after a long gun battle.
