Casandra “Cassie” Ventura is expected to return to the witness stand for a fourth and final time as Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex-trafficking trial in Manhattan federal court enters its second week. The defense team has focused on explicit text messages exchanged between Ventura and Combs, arguing that these messages suggest Ventura willingly participated in the drug-fueled marathon sex sessions known as “freak-offs.”

Ventura testified about their opioid dependence and alleged that Combs overdosed at a Playboy Mansion party in 2012. Judge Arun Subramanian expressed frustration when the defense suggested questioning of the eight-month pregnant Ventura might continue into next week.

Amid growing media speculation surrounding other celebrities, pop star Justin Bieber issued a statement via TMZ, denying claims that he was among Combs’ victims. Bieber’s representative emphasized that while some individuals were harmed, the pop star is not connected to the accusations.

Prosecutors also indicated that singer Dawn Richard could be called to testify next; she has accused Combs of sexual and physical abuse during their years working together and alleges she witnessed his violent behavior toward other women.

Combs faces serious charges including sex trafficking, transportation for prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy, stemming from accusations that he coerced victims to fulfill his sexual desires over a 20-year period. He denies all allegations and has claimed that some accusers seek financial gain coinciding with their own professional endeavors. The trial continues to reveal complex details of Combs’ relationships and the intense legal battle ahead.
