Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn, known for their roles as Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis in Prime Video’s Off Campus, are set to star in Quinn’s upcoming immersive audio romance Rent Free, according to an exclusive report by Variety.

The three-episode Quinn Originals production marks the latest duet-style audio series from the platform, following previous releases that pair actors in fully immersive romantic storytelling formats. A preview of the first episode is already available on the Quinn app, with episodes one and two scheduled to premiere on May 27 at 9 p.m. PT.

Rent Free follows Nora, a New York-based painter whose life collapses in a single day after a breakup and sudden eviction, forcing her to move in with Jack, her best friend’s older brother. Jack, a disciplined former athlete turned investment banker, lives a highly structured life that is disrupted by Nora’s arrival, leading to an intense and complicated living situation.

The story explores themes of emotional tension, attraction, and boundary-breaking relationships, set within a confined apartment environment where proximity drives conflict and romance. The series is designed as an immersive audio experience, focusing on dialogue-driven storytelling and character chemistry.

Quinn CEO Caroline Spiegel said the pairing of Abdalla and Kalyn was a natural fit due to their on-screen chemistry in Off Campus, noting that fans have already responded strongly to their dynamic. She added that Quinn Originals aims to push intimate storytelling through cinematic audio formats.

The actors also expressed enthusiasm for exploring modern romance storytelling through audio, highlighting audience demand for emotionally driven narratives and popular romance tropes.

Off Campus, the Prime Video series that introduced Abdalla and Kalyn’s breakout pairing, recently became one of the platform’s strongest debut hits, further increasing interest in their collaboration on Rent Free.
