The second day of testimony in the federal trial of Sean Diddy Combs featured new revelations from Cassie Ventura as she recounted multiple incidents of abuse.
The court heard Ventura describe a 2018 incident where she says Combs raped her at her home following a lunch meeting in Malibu. She testified that she cried and said no, but the act occurred quickly and Combs left without saying anything further.
Ventura also told the court that in 2011 Combs reacted violently to her brief relationship with rapper Kid Cudi. She recalled Combs saying he was going to hurt them both and later, during a meeting, when Kid Cudi asked what happened to his vehicle, Combs replied what vehicle. In 2012, Cudi’s Porsche was destroyed by fire from what authorities called an incendiary device.
The court was shown surveillance footage from 2016 capturing Combs chasing Ventura through a hotel hallway, throwing a vase, and physically assaulting her. Ventura said Combs told her she was not going to leave him and that she could not.
Her testimony also included accounts of violence directed at others. Ventura stated Combs assaulted employees and her friends, including an incident where he dangled one of her friends over a balcony before throwing her onto furniture.
A previously undisclosed detail also emerged as Ventura revealed that her 2023 lawsuit against Combs was settled for twenty million dollars. The civil case, which alleged physical and sexual abuse, had initiated the federal investigation that led to Combs’s arrest.
Ventura further claimed that Combs used private videos from his freak-off parties to blackmail her. She said he would threaten to release the recordings if she did not comply with his demands and that she feared the impact on her career and family.
The trial is ongoing with more witnesses scheduled to appear.
