Cassie Ventura’s husband, Alex Fine, sent threatening messages to Sean “Diddy” Combs and may be called as a witness in Combs’ ongoing federal trial, according to the defence.

Teny Geragos, Combs’ attorney, told the court on 12 May 2025 that Fine sent multiple texts expressing a desire to “beat the f-word out of” Combs. She asked the judge to bar Fine from attending the trial due to his potential role as a witness, according to The New York Post and Business Insider.

However, the judge ruled that Fine could remain in the courtroom for all proceedings except those involving his wife’s rape allegations against Combs, CNN reported.

Fine, a personal trainer and former college football player known for his rodeo involvement, married Ventura in 2019. The couple has two children and are expecting a third.

Ventura is the central accuser in the federal sex trafficking case. She testified on May 12 that Combs repeatedly abused her and coerced her into attending so-called “Freak Off” parties. Combs’ defence team has acknowledged inappropriate conduct but denies that it constitutes criminal trafficking.

Outside the courtroom, Fine has spoken out on Instagram, writing: “Men who hit women aren’t men. Men who enable it and protect those people aren’t men.” He added, “To all the survivors, find the men and women who help and love.”
