Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a new civil lawsuit filed by a woman identified as Jane Doe, who alleges the music mogul raped her at his Manhattan apartment in July 2001.
The woman claims the assault occurred after the two had socialized multiple times at Diddy’s recording studio, clubs, and restaurants.
According to the lawsuit, filed in New York, the alleged incident took place during the pair’s fourth meeting. The woman claims Diddy led her to his bedroom, locked the door, and forcefully pinned her to the bed. She says he placed his hand around her neck and made threatening comments before sexually assaulting her.
She further alleges that she clearly said no and resisted, but Diddy overpowered her and continued the assault. After the alleged incident, she says Diddy called her several times and invited her to his well-known white party, though she did not respond.
The woman claims the alleged rape left her with lasting emotional, psychological, and physical trauma, requiring therapy and significantly affecting her relationships and mental health.
The lawsuit seeks financial damages for the alleged assault and the resulting trauma. At the time of publishing, Diddy’s legal team has not responded to requests for comment.
This lawsuit adds to a growing list of legal battles facing the Bad Boy Records founder, who has been under increased scrutiny in recent years regarding various personal and professional controversies.
