Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, led a high-profile visit to the Line of Control (LoC) alongside representatives of both international and local media.

The purpose of the visit was to directly expose the ground realities in response to India’s repeated allegations of terrorist infrastructure operating from Pakistani territory, state-run Radio Pakistan reported.

The Ministry of Information facilitated the tour, giving journalists firsthand access to areas that India has frequently cited as supposed militant camps. These claims have long been part of New Delhi’s narrative to justify escalations along the LoC.

However, Pakistan asserts these are deliberate distortions aimed at fueling misinformation.

During the visit, media personnel were taken to specific locations named in Indian statements.

What they saw, instead of evidence of militant activity, were thriving civilian communities—homes, markets, and public spaces—contradicting the claims of "terrorist hideouts."

Residents spoke with journalists, giving testimonies that further challenged the narrative of foreign militant presence.

Speaking to the press, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated: “India has made baseless allegations against Pakistan time and again. Today, we have presented the truth before both international and national media. The places India labels as terrorist camps are, in fact, peaceful civilian areas.”

He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace, stating, “Pakistan is a responsible state—committed not just to regional, but to global peace. We unequivocally condemn terrorism in all its forms, anywhere in the world.”

However, Tarar was also firm in warning that while Pakistan promotes peace, it will defend its sovereignty robustly if provoked.

“We’ve proven through our conduct that we are advocates of peace. But make no mistake—if our sovereignty is challenged, we will respond decisively. India, before making baseless accusations, should take a long, hard look at its record of human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).”

He further accused India of using LoC propaganda as a smokescreen for its internal policy failures, especially in IIOJK.

"India’s LoC propaganda is a desperate attempt to distract from its domestic chaos and the repression in occupied Kashmir. But today, the world’s media has seen the truth with its own eyes.”

Earlier, the military assured senior political leaders that Pakistan's armed forces are fully prepared to give a befitting response to the enemy if it dared any aggression against Pakistan, sources said on Sunday after an in-camera briefing to political parties.

The session was arranged by the government, where Information Minister Atta Tarar and Director General of Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry briefed the politicians about the ongoing escalation between Pakistan and India following the April 22 Pahalgam attack.
