Pindi lawyers protest India's warmongering
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Lawyers Forum organised a protest rally in Rawalpindi on Saturday against what they termed as Indian war threats and aggression.
The demonstration saw active participation from members and office-bearers of the High Court Bar and District Bar Associations, including a significant number of female lawyers.
During the rally, held outside the Judicial Complex on the VIP Road, participants burned an effigy of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a symbolic act of protest.
The lawyers vocally condemned what they described as India's warmongering rhetoric.
Speaking at a pre-rally gathering, leaders of the PML-N Lawyers Forum — including Talib Abbasi, Israr Malik, Central Joint Secretary Asim Rasheed, former Bar President Ghulam Mustafa Shah, and Arshad Malik — said the entire nation stands united with the Pakistan Armed Forces.
"We may have internal political differences, but on matters of national dignity, sovereignty, and defence, we are united and will remain so," they declared.
The speakers further stated that both the government and the opposition had responded to India with a firm stance. They also referred to the Pulwama incident as a "false flag operation" by the Indian intelligence agency RAW, which they claimed has now been exposed.
