The Pakistan-US Alumni Network (PUAN), in collaboration with the US Mission in Pakistan and the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP), has launched its 2025 National Internship Programme to offer hands-on professional experience to young graduates.

Scheduled from June 2 to August 29, the in-person internship will place 40 young PUAN members with senior alumni mentors across 14 chapters nationwide. Each selected intern will receive a monthly stipend of Rs35,000 to cover basic living costs, including transport and communication.

The programme aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world expertise, offering a potential springboard into full-time employment.

Strict merit-based selection

Eligible applicants include current undergraduate students or those who graduated within the past year. Interns are expected to work full-time and reside in the same city as their assigned mentor. The selection process will be strictly merit-based, according to PUAN.

PUAN’s extensive alumni network, which includes over 45,000 members, is central to the programme’s structure. Senior mentors will guide interns in areas such as education, development, media, health, law, and environmental advocacy.

Past editions of the internship programme have resulted in full-time job offers for several participants, highlighting its career-launching potential.
