The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Sunday forecast hailstorms, thunderstorms, and rain for Islamabad and surrounding regions.

The Met Office said partly cloudy conditions were expected, with temperatures in the capital likely to peak at 34°C.

Rainfall is also predicted for upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Intense downpours and hail are possible in parts of K-P.

Meanwhile, hot and dry conditions are forecast for Sindh and Balochistan, alongside strong winds.

Morning temperatures were recorded at 18°C in Islamabad and Quetta, 27°C in Lahore and Karachi, 20°C in Peshawar, 13°C in Gilgit, 9°C in Murree, and 16°C in Muzaffarabad.

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the forecast predicts rain, thunderstorms, and possible hail in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, with isolated hailstorms in Jammu.

Earlier this week, unseasonal rains and hail in Islamabad damaged vehicles, solar panels, and property. In Landi Kotal and Torkham, flash floods stranded freight vehicles and led to the closure of the Pak-Afghan highway.
