The Christian community in Lahore observed Good Friday with solemnity and reverence, marking the crucifixion of Jesus Christ with special prayer services and gatherings across the city.
Churches remained filled with worshippers from noon to 3:00pm - the traditional hours believed to coincide with the crucifixion.
At the Cathedral Church on Mall Road, one of the city's most prominent Christian sites, bishops and clergy led deeply spiritual ceremonies that included hymns, scripture readings, and sermons reflecting on the suffering and sacrifice of Christ.
Good Friday, observed on the Friday before Easter Sunday, is regarded as one of the most sacred days in the Christian faith.
It commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and serves as a day of mourning, reflection, and devotion.
Leaders of the Christian community reminded congregants of the profound message of Good Fridaysacrifice, forgiveness, and salvation.
They urged worshippers to embody the spirit of compassion and selflessness in their lives.
