Stephen Daldry, the director of Stranger Things: The First Shadow, reflects on the challenges of adapting the beloved series into a live theatrical experience, emphasizing the need for a “visceral experience” that elicits surprise and awe from the audience. "You have to deliver that," Daldry said. "The fusion of television and theater is about the speed of narrative and how you create it… There are moments in the show where you will think, 'I don’t understand how they did that.'"

Ross and Matt Duffer, the creators of the Stranger Things series, also shared their enthusiasm for the stage adaptation. “The first time we saw the play, we were blown away,” said Ross Duffer. Matt added, "They pulled everything off, and then some. It was one of the most thrilling experiences of our lives."

The documentary offers a closer look at the Broadway production, with exclusive first-look images featuring actor Louis McCartney portraying Henry Creel.
