
Seven people including a sub-inspector and a constable were injured in a collision with a government vehicle on the motorway. The injured include two women and two children.
The police have registered a case against the car driver and started searching for him. According to the incident, supplier of Motorway Police, Sufiyan son of Arshad, parked his government vehicle on the side of the road near the Motorway Rest Area, Rodala Police Station to stop an over-speeding truck to check documents.
During this, a speeding car coming from behind lost control and collided with the Motorway Police vehicle. As a result, Motorway Sub-Inspector Munawar, the truck conductor Ali Hassan, and two women, two children and a man in the family of the car driver were injured and shifted to the hospital after medical assistance.
The police reached the spot and took the vehicle into custody and started the investigation. A constable Asif Javed, who was on duty as a deputy court clerk in the Sessions Court, was returning home after completing his duty when he met with an accident on the way and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Meanwhile, four labourers were injured as a lift of a local textile mills collapsed on Jaranwala Road and were shifted to the hospital after medical aid. Police reached the spot and started the operation.
According to the police report, four labourers working in the mills, 22-year-old Irfan son of Mohabbat Ali, 19-year-old Imran son of Pehlwan, 40-year-old Abrar son of Shamsul Haq and 23-year-old Asif son of Jahangir, were injured when a lift of a local textile mill suddenly collapsed near 209 RB Phatak, Jaranwala Road, Saddar area.
They were shifted to the Civil Hospital after medical aid. On receiving information, police officers reached the spot.
