
Lahore and several cities in Punjab are experiencing a gradual rise in temperatures as the dry spell continues, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) .
Lahore recorded a temperature of 16°C with humidity levels at 73%. Daytime highs are expected to range between 16°C and 18°C over the next few days. The city will remain mostly sunny, with partial cloud cover by midweek.
Other cities across Punjab also reported rising temperatures. Bahawalpur, Multan, Sargodha, and Faisalabad are expected to remain sunny, with temperatures hovering between 14°C and 20°C.
Meanwhile, cities in northern Punjab, including Murree, Chakwal, and Rawalpindi, may see thunderstorms and scattered rain by midweek.
Despite changing weather patterns in some regions, no significant rainfall is expected in Lahore. The city will remain dry, with warm days and slightly cooler nights.
Weather officials advise residents to prepare for a gradual rise in temperatures, indicating an early shift toward summer.
Meanwhile, the PMD forecasts warm and dry weather in Karachi for the next 24 hours, with temperatures expected to range between 35°C and 37°C.
The department reported that light north-western winds will continue to blow, contributing to the dry conditions.
The humidity level in the city is currently around 52%, and no significant changes in wind speed are expected.
Over the past 24 hours, Karachi’s minimum temperature was recorded at 21.7°C, while the weather remained relatively mild.
The meteorological authorities have advised the public to stay hydrated and take precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses, especially during the afternoon when the heat is expected to peak.
