RAWALPINDI:

Rawalpindi Medical University's (RMU) exams held under the University of Health Sciences (UHS) were postponed unexpectedly, causing widespread concern among students.

The exam was cancelled at short notice, triggering protests among students.

The principal of RMU sent a message to all deans informing them of the postponement due to security concerns.

According to sources at RMU, the exam was cancelled due to a security issue.

Students had arrived to take the exam scheduled for 9am but found it had been postponed.

Students expressed frustration, stating that they had been waiting on the university premises for hours while fasting during Ramazan.

They strongly protested the decision and demanded that the secretary of health take strict action against those responsible.

They argued that if there was a security issue, security agencies should have been involved.

Students criticised the handling of the situation, especially during the holy month of Ramazan, and called for action against the individuals involved.
