Cardi B has hit back at Kanye West after he claimed that she has been “replaced” by Megan Thee Stallion in the female rap scene. The rapper took to social media to shut down Ye’s remarks, insisting that her career remains strong and her fanbase is unwavering.
West, known for his controversial statements, has been vocal about the state of the music industry, recently targeting multiple artists.
In a lengthy social media post, he wrote: “CARDI B REPLACED NICKI MINAJ. MEG THE STALLION REPLACED CARDI B. DOJA CAT REPLACED MEG THE STALLION. DOECHII REPLACED DOJA CAT AFTER DOJA STARTED POPPING THIS NAZI SH*T.”
He went on to talk about Lizzo and Cardi B, praising the former while making a dig at "Kodak Black" rapper.
Cardi B wasted no time responding. Taking to X, she posted: “7 years 1 album… STILL being a topic and STILL being asked about my music!!"
Her post, which quickly went viral, was met with widespread support from fans who defended her impact and longevity in the industry.
West’s comments have reignited debates about longevity in hip-hop, especially among female rappers. Some fans pointed out that Cardi B has remained relevant despite releasing only one studio album in her career. Others argued that West’s statements undermine the achievements of women in the industry.
