Trio selling drugs on campuses busted

A case has been registered under the Control of Narcotics Substances Act and further investigation has been started.

KARACHI:

New Town Police has arrested three accused for supplying drugs to the city's leading universities and colleges.

District East Police arrested three accused while conducting an operation in Ghausia Colony on a tip-off on Sunday. According to the police, the group used to supply methamphetamine ice and other narcotics to students of colleges and universities.

The names of the arrested accused were on the IR's list of most wanted drug dealers. The police have recovered more than one kilogram of high-quality ice and heroin from the accused.

A case has been registered under the Control of Narcotics Substances Act and further investigation has been started.

The arrested accused include Sohail, Muhammad Rafiq and Muhammad Asim, whose criminal records are also being reviewed.

Couple arrested for selling drugs

Shah Faisal Colony police raided a drug den, arresting two drug dealers, including a woman.

The SSP Korangi spokesperson revealed that a large quantity of ice and other narcotics were recovered from Raja Khurram and Hina, the accused and arrested dealers. Raja Khurram had previously been arrested for impersonating a government official.

The arrested female Hina has been playing an important role in drug trafficking and is the wife of the main accused, Raja Faisal, who is the owner of the drug den and managed to flee the raid.

Meanwhile, cases have been registered against him in several police stations of the city and cases have also been registered against Raja Khurram and Hina under the Narcotics Control Amendment Act.
