Suspected drug dealer falls to her death

A woman fell to her death from the balcony of her apartment during a police raid. The water pipe she was holding on to snapped, sending her to a fatal fall.

"The suspect, Afsheen, 35, fell accidentally and it was not a suicide or an escape attempt gone awry," a district police spokesperson said.

Per reports, police raided a flat in the DHA Muslim Commercial Area within the remits of Darakhshan police station to arrest a woman accused of selling drugs. She however, fell from the fourth floor the building. The police have termed the incident as an accident and not a suicide.

According to the spokesperson of the SSP South, the police had arrested the wanted drug dealer accused Obaid in case 181/25 of Darakhshan police station last night.

Accused Obaid told the police during interrogation that a woman named Afsheen was his business partner in drug trafficking.

Subsequently, police reached Afsheen's apartment in Muslim Commercial Area to arrest her.

The cops say they kept banging on the door, but she did not open, when suddenly there was a commotion outside and when they checked, Afsheen was lying on the ground.

She was immediately shifted to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

According to the spokesperson, initial investigations and evidence found have revealed that the accident occurred due to a broken water pipe, which the woman was holding onto after coming out of the balcony. Initial information was that the deceased jumped herself, but after investigation, it was revealed that it was an accident and not a suicide. Police said deceased, Afsheen, lived alone in her flat, while other intoxicants, including liquor bottles, were also recovered from the deceased's house.
