LAHORE:

Dolphin Squad has arrested a suspect who had been evading law enforcement for the past seven years.

The accused, Aamir, was wanted in multiple cases of robbery and theft registered in 2018. According to a Dolphin Squad spokesperson, the suspect had been declared a proclaimed offender after failing to appear in court for the cases against him.

A case (FIR No. 42/18) was registered at Gujjarpura police station, accusing him of committing armed robberies.

During a snap-checking operation, Dolphin personnel identified and apprehended the fugitive. He was later handed over to Gujjarpura police for further legal action.

Three bodies found

Three people, including a young man, lost their lives in separate road accidents across the city.

Police have shifted the bodies to the morgue for post-mortem and initiated legal proceedings. According to an Edhi spokesperson, a fatal collision occurred in Ghaziabad, Mughalpura, due to overspeeding, involving a motorcycle, a rickshaw, and a car, resulting in the death of 50-year-old Shafiq.

In another incident near Saggian Bypass, Shahdara, a tractor-trolley carrying bricks overturned while taking a turn.
