The President of the Sindh Sugar Mills Workers Federation, Dodo Khan Mangrio, and General Secretary Comrade Iqbal said that those responsible for workers' funds are not less than robbers.
They criticised workers' representatives for keeping silence, saying they are 'more loyal to the king than the king himself'. They claimed that welfare schemes, such as death grants, are being advertised but not implemented, leaving workers and widows in distress.
Despite approval, death and dowry grants for workers and widowed women have not been disbursed. Due to administrative negligence and delays from the Sindh Workers Welfare Board, those affected are experiencing severe distress.
The approved death grants and dowry grants are expected to be disbursed through Sindh Bank, yet the bank administration is mired in delays and inefficiencies.
