Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly, Ahmad Khan Bhachar, has called for transparency re-garding the Jaffar Express attack, warning against confusion and misperceptions amid rising separatist movements in Balochistan.
Meanwhile, Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan asserted that political dialogue cannot take place until law and order is restored, empha-sising that armed groups will be dealt with force.
Both leaders spoke to the media on the Punjab Assem-bly premises before the commencement of House pro-ceedings.
Expressing grief over the attack, Bhachar stated, "The entire country is in mourning, and the govern-ment must take this incident seriously."
He condemned the hostage-taking of passengers and security personnel, questioning the government's ef-fectiveness despite holding power.
"We stand with our armed forces, and all institu-tions should function within their constitutional framework," he added. Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan also expressed solidarity with the affected families, stating that such incidents weaken the country's voice on global platforms.
