
Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Nawaz Sharif has expressed his grief over the loss of lives in the recent attacks on the Jaffar Express in Balochistan.
He condemned the cowardly acts of terrorism, asserting that such attacks would not undermine Pakistan’s peace and security, Express News reported on Wednesday.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, Nawaz said, "I am deeply saddened by the loss of precious lives in the terrorist attack on Jaffar Express." He added, "These cowardly acts cannot sabotage Pakistan’s peace and security."
Nawaz extended his condolences to the families of the victims, saying, "In this time of sorrow, my sympathies are with the families of the martyrs. May Allah raise their ranks and grant speedy recovery to the injured."
Security sources confirmed that the operation against the militants responsible for the attack has entered its final stages, with all the terrorists reportedly killed.
