Inmate’s Death: Relatives stage protest against jail admin
Family members of an inmate who had died in Jail staged a protest against ‘unnecessary’ delay in the autopsy report.

Family members of an inmate who had died in Sialkot District Jail on Wednesday staged a protest against ‘unnecessary’ delay in the autopsy report.
They accused the jail officials of killing Naseer Ahmed and demanded that action be taken against the officials responsible for Ahmed’s death.
The family gathered in front of Civil Hospital where the body of the deceased had been kept for an autopsy. They demanded that the postmortem examination report be made available to them without further delay. He complained that more than 12 hours had passed and still the autopsy had not been performed.
Ahmad had been arrested and sent to Sialkot District Jail two months ago in a theft case. He died at the jail premises on Wednesday following, what official called, brief illness.
The protestors dispersed after Civil Hospital medical superintendent issued orders for immediate autopsy of the deceased.
