Pete Davidson has reportedly made peace with Colin Jost by gifting him a Cartier watch worth approximately $20,000.
The gesture comes after a fallout between the former Saturday Night Live co-stars, who had a long-standing friendship before tensions arose last year.
According to an insider speaking exclusively to The U.S. Sun, the gift served as an olive branch following Pete’s summer rehab stint. "This was a positive gesture from Pete to Colin just after he got out of rehab," the source revealed.
The duo’s fallout reportedly strained their relationship to the point where Jost, 42, refused to be at 30 Rock, SNL’s filming location, at the same time as Davidson, 31. Their business partnership was also in question after they jointly purchased a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry in 2022.
Despite previous tensions, both comedians recently attended SNL’s 50th Anniversary special. While they did not appear on screen together, they briefly interacted during the episode’s traditional sendoff, shaking hands and exchanging a few words.
During a Weekend Update segment, Jost humorously referenced their ferry investment, joking about Staten Island’s reputation and hinting at their joint purchase. However, Davidson was notably absent from the afterparty, signaling potential lingering tensions.
It remains unclear which Cartier watch Pete selected, but the luxury brand’s timepieces range from $3,000 to over $200,000.
