Texas rapper G$ Lil Ronnie, born Chuckie Smith, and his 5-year-old daughter were shot and killed in a shocking daylight attack at a Fort Worth car wash on Monday, March 3.

According to local reports, the father and daughter were inside their vehicle at Slappy's Express Car Wash on Forest Hill Drive when two men exited a Kia, approached their car, and opened fire before fleeing the scene.

Authorities responded to the shooting just before 11 a.m. and attempted life-saving measures, but both victims were pronounced dead on-site. Police have identified one suspect and issued an arrest warrant, though the name has not yet been publicly released. Investigators believe the attack was targeted, though the motive remains unclear.

Family members were devastated by the loss, with emotions running high at the scene. Ronnie’s aunt, Stella Houston, spoke out about the tragedy, saying, "He was a rapper. He didn’t bother nobody. He didn’t target nobody. He was a family man. Why would you target him?"

She also revealed that his daughter had just celebrated her 5th birthday the day before. "Cleaning the car out, and somebody came through shooting and killed him and the baby. And a baby. His baby. A baby!" she said in disbelief.

Slappy's Express Car Wash has since announced it will remain closed for at least two days as the investigation continues.

G$ Lil Ronnie was a rising artist in the Fort Worth rap scene, known for songs like Weigh It Up and Commitment. His death has sent shockwaves through the local community, as fans and fellow artists mourn the tragic loss of both him and his young daughter.
