
One more citizen has fallen victim to armed robbery when bandits opened fire on him injuring him seriously near Radio Pakistan, Quaidabad. He was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition and later he was shifted to the Jinnah Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. He was identified as 57-year-old Muhammad Imran Feroz.
According to police, Imran was travelling with three companions in a high-roof. On the way they stopped near Fish Market to buy a gas cylinder. As they got down the vehicle, three armed robbers riding a motorcycle appeared. Sensing the danger, Imran rushed back to the high-roof, on which the bandits opened fire. The bandit snatched the security guard's weapon and a bag with cash and fled. Police recovered a 9mm pistol shell from the scene.
The driver of the high-roof, an eyewitness, recounted that they had withdrawn cash from a bank and Muhammad Imran had to buy a gas cylinder. "We stopped outside the cylinder shop. I got out of the vehicle and locked the driver side door of the vehicle, while the security guard was still inside with the bag of money. Imran went inside the shop and was returning when he saw the bandits. He rushed towards the vehicle in panic on which the armed robbers opened fire on him."
Imran worked as an accountant at a textile mill in Landhi Industrial Area.
