Ex-KGB intelligence officer alleges Donald Trump was recruited as Russian spy in 1987

A former Soviet intelligence officer has alleged that Donald Trump was recruited by the KGB in 1987 under the codename “Krasnov.” Alnur Mussayev, a former Kazakh intelligence chief, made the claim in a Facebook post, stating that he worked in the KGB’s 6th Directorate, which specialized in recruiting Western businessmen.

While Mussayev’s allegations remain unverified, they add to long-standing speculation regarding Trump’s relationship with Russia. Trump has consistently denied any ties to the Kremlin or involvement in intelligence activities.

Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci recently hinted at an unexplained “hold” that Putin allegedly has over Trump, a sentiment echoed by other former Trump administration officials.

The White House and Russia’s Foreign Ministry have not yet commented on the claims.

Mussayev also stated he has survived two assassination attempts, suggesting potential danger in revealing such information. His statements are expected to fuel further debate over Trump’s historical and current dealings with Russia.
