PM Shehbaz to embark on two-day state visit to Azerbaijan

Pakistan seeks to strengthen economic and strategic ties with Azerbaijan, reinforcing collaboration across key sectors

This marks his second visit to Azerbaijan since assuming office in March 2024. He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with key cabinet members, reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to deepening ties with Azerbaijan.

During the visit, both sides will hold discussions on energy, trade, defense, education, and climate cooperation. Several agreements and MoUs are expected to be signed to strengthen bilateral collaboration.

Azerbaijan remains a key economic and strategic partner for Pakistan, with strong cooperation across multiple sectors. The visit underscores Pakistan’s commitment to expanding ties and fostering economic collaboration.

Prime Minister Shehbaz is also scheduled to deliver a keynote speech at a Business Forum organized in partnership with Azerbaijan’s Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO). Additionally, alongside President Aliyev, he will visit Fuzuli as part of a special tour of the liberated territories of Karabakh.

The visit aims to enhance economic ties, explore new avenues of cooperation, and reaffirm Pakistan’s unwavering support for Azerbaijan.
