Five accused of fraud, theft against woman

DIJKOT:

A case was registered against five accused, including a husband and wife, on the charge of stealing over Rs.30.9 million from a woman.

Hafiza Ayesha Kashif, a resident of Street 4 Mohalla Tariqabad, stated in the case filed with the Peoples Colony Police that she is a housewife and her husband was engaged in the business of importing machinery under the name of Kashif & Company.

She further stated that accused, Muhammad Fahad Khalid, who is her brother, was also a close friend of her husband Kashif.

Fahad Khalid who used to do business of buying and selling various types of properties showed them an area of 15 marla in Sitara Valley, Al Fateh Heights, where he showed them the map of the construction of the plaza and took the amount of over Rs.30.9 million.

Later, he along with his wife Huma Fahd, the accused Adnan Sharif, Ali Usman and Saqlain Ali took away the said amount.

The Peoples Colony Police registered a case against the accused under the provisions of 406 TPC after the allegations were proved in the inquiry and started searching for them.

Meanwhile, four persons stole money from a youth and killed him by giving him poisonous juice.
