RAWALPINDI:

A Lahore High Court's (LHC) Division Bench in Rawalpindi on Tuesday sent the bail applications of 67 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists, who have been in custody for the past 80 days, back to an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) for reconsideration of the decisions.

The bench comprised Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan and Justice Sadiq Mehmood Khurram. The PTI workers were arrested during the PTI's November 26 protest march at D-Chowk in Islamabad.

The court directed the ATC to review the cases of these arrested individuals within seven days, taking into account the constitution, law, merit, and their roles as outlined in the First Information Reports (FIRs).

The court also annulled the previous decisions of the subordinate courts, which had dismissed the bail applications, and ordered that each case be decided separately based on the relevant law and merit.
