KARACHI:

Kamran Qureshi, the father of the accused Armaghan in Mustafa murder case has alleged that the real character of the Mustafa case is policeman Bilal. Mustafa was killed by Shiraz. His son Armaghan has no connection with the Mustafa murder case. All the allegations against him are baseless. He said, his son is drug addict but does not sell drugs. The bungalow on which stories are being made is a software house. He maintained that he will not pay a single penny of bribe in his son's case. He expects justice from the court, not from the system. He said, his life is in danger. He was talking to the media outside the Karachi Press Club on Monday.

Armaghan's father said that he received a call from his son on February 8 regarding the Mustafa case. When the police raided the bungalow, they broke the cameras installed there. They also snatched a bag from his wife's hand and took it away.

Kamran Qureshi said they have kept licensed weapons, cameras and security for their own safety and the safety of the software house. He said, had he given Rs10 million to the judge, he would have been sitting in his chamber. The policemen do not even obey the orders of the judges now.

Armaghan's father claimed that Bilal is involved in the kidnapping for ransom of Mustafa.

Kamran said, he is not Murtaza Bhutto. He does not trust the system. The entire system needs to be overhauled. There is hope for justice from the court, but it seems, it is also under pressure. He said that he will take all possible legal steps to prove the allegations made against his son Armaghan in the Mustafa case wrong and false.

Moreover, the Sindh High Court has ordered the production of accused Armaghan in the Mustafa Amir kidnapping case and sought the record of the case from the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC). The court also granted an urgent hearing of the appeal filed by the Prosecutor General of Sindh against the ATC's decision.

Meanwhile, the Judicial Magistrate has approved the request of the investigator to exhume the body of Mustafa Amir. He ordered the formation of a medical board and submission of the report within seven days.
