Mob sets fire to five tankers as yet another motorcyclist dies in Karachi

A motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a water tanker near Jail Chowrangi in Karachi on Monday, triggering protests as enraged locals set multiple tankers on fire, local media reported.

According to officials, the accident occurred when a water tanker collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the rider’s death. Rescue teams confirmed the fatality at the scene.

Following the incident, angry protesters torched five water tankers, police said. However, the fire brigade quickly responded and extinguished the flames before they could spread further.

Meanwhile, Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar took notice of the situation and demanded a report from the police on the arson attack, according to an official statement.
