Traffic police have extended the condition of wearing helmet to motorcycle rickshaw drivers for their safety.
According to a spokesperson, the chief traffic officer (CTO) of Lahore has ordered strict enforcement of the rule, with fines to be imposed on violators from Monday.
Before the crackdown, a one-day awareness campaign will be conducted to educate rickshaw drivers about the new regulation.
Additionally, the traffic police plan to distribute free helmets among rickshaw drivers soon.
Officials said the initiative aims to enhance road safety and reduce head injuries in case of accidents.
