TikToker launches site to track ICE operations and help immigrants evade deportation
TikTok user @celestiedabestie, also known as Celeste, has launched a website that tracks Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activities in real time, designed to warn illegal migrants of ICE’s presence and assist them in evading deportation.
The site, which is commonly referred to as ICE Maps, is officially named People Over Papers. The platform provides an interactive, live map that displays up-to-date information on ICE sightings across the U.S., helping users stay informed and take preventive measures.
In a tutorial video, Celeste explained the website’s functionality. She demonstrated how users can navigate the interactive map to see ICE activity in their area, click on sighting pins for details, and contribute their own sightings anonymously. The platform allows users to upload photos, videos, and comments to verify reports, creating a community-driven and real-time resource.

People Over Papers was created at a time when ICE has ramped up its efforts to crack down on undocumented immigrants, particularly after the start of President Donald Trump’s second term. His administration has focused on deporting millions of migrants, stripping away temporary protections, and intensifying federal and state-level immigration enforcement. Recent reports from states such as Massachusetts and Idaho have documented ICE agents actively rounding up individuals as part of a wider crackdown.
While People Over Papers has gained attention, there have been other announcements regarding similar platforms. ActBlue, a left-wing fundraising platform, recently revealed plans to create a "Resist Map" to alert immigrants to ICE raids and share safe spaces for those facing deportation. However, it remains unclear whether there is any connection between the Resist Map and ICE Maps.

Known for her outspoken left-wing views, Celeste’s Instagram profile describes her as “Deeply bizarre and anti-man,” reflecting her passionate stance on political issues and her dedication to immigrant rights.
