A protester waving Palestinian and Sudanese flags interrupted the Super Bowl LIX halftime show during Kendrick Lamar’s performance at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
The man, whose identity remains unknown, made it onto the stage before security intervened and removed him from the venue.
The flags displayed the words “Gaza” and “Sudan,” drawing attention to the ongoing humanitarian crises in both regions. Footage of the incident showed the man jumping onto the stage before running onto the field, waving the flag as Lamar continued performing. Security officers chased the protester as he dodged them for nearly 20 seconds before being tackled and escorted off the field.

NFL Network’s Albert Breer reported that law enforcement promptly removed the individual from the stadium. The protest comes amid heightened security concerns for Super Bowl LIX, particularly following the New Year’s Day terror attack and the attendance of former President Donald Trump at the event.
While it remains unclear if the protester was a fan or had ties to the halftime production team, the incident has sparked discussions about security at high-profile sporting events. Neither the NFL nor event organizers have commented on the disruption.
The Super Bowl halftime show, headlined by Kendrick Lamar, continued without further interruptions, but the protest moment has since gone viral on social media, adding to the ongoing political discourse surrounding global conflicts.
