Former professional tennis player Anna Kournikova was recently seen in Miami, marking her first public appearance in two years.
The 43-year-old, who shares three children with singer Enrique Iglesias, was photographed at Bal Harbour Shops on January 25. Kournikova was in a wheelchair, wearing an orthopedic boot and a black sweatsuit, accompanied by her daughters Lucy, 7, and Mary, 4.
According to images obtained by the New York Post, an unidentified woman was seen pushing Kournikova’s wheelchair through the parking lot as the group made their way into the shopping center. Kournikova retired from professional tennis at 21 due to persistent injuries, after an eight-year career.
Kournikova and Iglesias, 49, have maintained a relatively private relationship since first meeting on the set of his Escape music video in 2001. In a 2023 interview with People, Iglesias reflected on how their relationship developed over the years, explaining that their shared experiences in the public eye helped strengthen their bond.
The couple welcomed twins Lucy and Nicholas in 2017, followed by their youngest daughter, Mary, in 2020. Iglesias has previously expressed his love for fatherhood, telling a concert audience in Budapest that he was deeply moved by becoming a parent.
Despite keeping their personal life out of the spotlight, Iglesias has occasionally spoken about their long-term relationship, acknowledging both challenges and growth over the years. While the nature of Kournikova’s injury remains unclear, the recent outing has sparked public interest in her well-being and private life.
