Academicians stage protest outside press club
They said that Sindh government's decision is against international educational standards.
KARACHI:
Teachers staged a protest against amendments to the Sindh Universities Act 2018.
The Federation of Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Associations (FPUASA), Sindh, demonstrated in front of Karachi Press Club. Carrying banners and placards the protesters shouted slogans.
They said that Sindh government's decision is against international educational standards.They said, the changes are tantamount to handing over universities to bureaucracy, which will hurt academic freedom.
