Cops among eight sent to jail in kidnapping case

KARACHI:

An anti-terrorism court in Karachi has sentenced eight suspects, including two police officials, to judicial remand in a short-term kidnapping case. The suspects were presented before the court after their physical remand expired, and the court ordered them to be sent to jail.

During the investigation, approximately Rs10 million was recovered from the suspects. The suspects, including police officials Muhammad Umar and Ali Sajjad, allegedly kidnapped a person named Arsalan and withdrew Rs130 million from his account.
